Hey, I’m Dave. I enjoy writing and building developer tools. I’m currently bootstrapping EventCatalog — a catalog for distributed architectures — with the goal of reaching a million ARR. You can follow the journey on my diary.

Previously I worked at AWS, and before that spent two decades across startups and enterprises, writing code, architecting solutions, and leading technical teams.

Right now I’m focused on developer tooling and governance around distributed architectures — building tools, running workshops, and giving talks on the topic.

Outside of work I’m a father of two. I enjoy reading books, spending time with family and friends, and going to conferences to meet new people and exchange ideas.
